Purchase a Star Micronics Remote Printer for ($349.00 in our Shop) and place that printer in your kitchen or next to the barista to receive orders from the ShopKeep Register.














Next click the gear button and then click Printers to search for printers on your network. 





















ShopKeep will search for all the supported printers on your network then will display receipt printers and remote printers.  You can choose which printers you want to enable for receipts and for remote printing.  Click the "Print Test Receipt" to send a test to the printers you have enabled to make sure you have set up the correct printer. Click done when you are finished.

If your printer does not show up in the window turn it off for about 30 second then turn it back on again.  Make sure the light is green on the printer and it is plugged into your network.











To enable items to receive Smart Notes click on the note icon on the upper right.  






















Then click each item you want to print to your remote printer.  The button will turn white to indicate that it will print out at the time of sale.  Click Done when finished.





















You can add notes to each item that prints to the remote printer by clicking on the line during the sale and typing a note.  





















The note are "smart" because they will be stored for the next time and will show once you start typing. 






















If you ever would like to delete a note just swipe on the note and click "Delete".  The notes are stored for each item only and are currently stored on the iPad so if you have multiple registers notes will need to be created on each register separately. 



















Every time you ring up a sale the remote printer will print out the item and any associated note will be shown in red.  ShopKeep only supports 1 remote printer per iPad.
