After you have generated your loyalty program vouchers and mailed them out your customers will start to redeem them and you need to know how to use them at the Register:
- Loyalty vouchers can only be used one at a time. So if a customer received 2 vouchers they have to use them on 2 different transactions. They cannot be combined.
- There is a date range during which they can be used and they will not work outside that date range. You can set that date range when you run the voucher export but it cannot be changed afterwards.
- Vouchers are 1 time use only and do not hold value. You should collect the official voucher from the customer after the use because otherwise they could use them again on a different visit. Let the customer know that they should try to make the transaction total the voucher amount so they do not lose the left over rewards. They may need to buy extra and pay the balance in cash or credit to make sure they get their full reward.
- The voucher ID number that is generated is the same number for all customers in that export. The program was designed for printing and mailing official vouchers to customers. Only if the cashier is presented with an official voucher should it be allowed. There is no way to know if the customer is trying to use the number more than once if you don't require the official paper voucher.
- Dispose of the voucher after use to prevent reuse. You will be able to monitor the total usage of that particular voucher number in the back office on the the reports tab under Loyalty Program Vouchers.
