Hey Guys,

I just wanted to share my solution to my non-responsive centurion card swiper for the knowledge base.

Problem:

Register doesn't respond to card swiper even though you are able to manually enter a cc.

Possible Solution:

Set device to keyboard emulation mode.

Steps:

1. Download magtek card reader utility for Windows
2. Check current mode on device by entering 00 01 00 and clicking "Send Msg"
3. 00 01 00 response means your device is set to USB HID mode rather than keyboard emulation.
4. Set proper mode by sending 00 02 10 01
